Google LSA and the TM

have completely transformed my business. Google Local Service Ads kicks ass. Very few price shoppers and most people are happy to work with us. My schedule has been staying full about 1 week out for the past 3 weeks. A few weeks ago I had to turn LSA off for a few days because we were getting booked too far out. I know these things ebb and flow, but this is what I dreamed of when starting this business. 18 months in...

With our TM we are easily doing 3 jobs a day now unless there are fairly large jobs on the books. Which has totally upgraded what our average days yield from back when we were using our portable all the time. And it seems like we are only blowing through like $50 to $60 in gas on our big days. Our van with the CDS seems way more fuel efficient than what I imagined running the TM would be like.

Do you have a 3rd party marketing company helping you or are you going directly through Google?

I'm doing it myself directly through Google. Local Service Ads is fairly fool proof, you just pay $20 to $30 a phone call depending on your area. I haven't tried Pay Per Click ads on Google. I've heard you can lose a lot of money with PPC if you don't know what your doing, but can also do very well if you have some marketing folks help with it, or if you're really sharp. I don't want to pay anyone else for anything right now. I really like Google LSA.

$20-30 a call, duck fat.. Reminds me of the days of Service Magic.. Paying $15 a call..

I think Yelp is at $40/lead..

I'm happy to hear you're staying busy!

If ya know of any better avenues aside from time, great service, great results, and more time then let me know šŸ˜

Thumbtack costs at least as much per lead as Google LSA, I still like Thumbtack though, but not a lot of action there. Angi's List costs like $10/lead but each lead goes out to 4 or more service providers, many cheap cleaners, so it's hard to close on any more than 1 out of 5 making acquired customers cost $50+. It seems better for the splashy and dashy type. Our contract with them is over next month, we'll never use them again. Yelp is terrible, no idea how much they charge to advertise but they'll never see a penny from me, liars and thieves. Facebook works for cheap cleaners but not so much for premium cleaners from everything I hear. Too many tire kickers and price shoppers, people have a really low intent on buying at that platform and tend to be price shoppers that just waste your time on the phone.

Our local BNI is small, 15 or so members. Too much of a time committment with little prospect of major business coming out of it, at least the one close by us. Our local Chamber of Commerce feels more like a hangout and less like a referral network. I think we'll do fine without those organizations for now. Maybe when I go multi-truck.

Our SEO is getting better over time, when we are less busy I am going to make more city pages. Each area I have a city page for I rank way higher. Also making some video content and more cleaning articles soon, I'm sure that will help.

Staying pretty darn busy for now though, very grateful. And our high marketing costs are all worthwhile. It all keeps getting better. Thanks bud!
