Life's too short not to run after a crazy idea every once in a while… I hereby give everyone on MikeysBoard permission to tar and feather me when this is all over, but I fully expect to make believers out of you. Just give me a few days- you’ll see!
Careful what you wish for!

Ok everyone, I finally made some progress. Found a couple of balcony railings on Facebook Marketplace- $40 for the pair. They’re super heavy, made of solid square bar steel.

I painted them black, then attached them together to form an L shape, and mounted them to the seat mounts in the floor. This pic shows where-

Then I moved in my big machines, and strapped them to the railings using ratchet straps.

I’ll show you more as I continue to make progress, but now I can at least drive without anything tearing up the interior, tipping over, or accidentally falling through a window…

So far this van is a 10/10, and it’s looking like I’ll be able to fully convert it from a work van to a party van in under 30 minutes. Not bad :)
