If you could add features to this board, what would they be?

lets hear some thoughts, no matter how random, on how we could make your experience here better..

within a month MB will be transitioning into a bold new venture, one that better suits most who come here, or anywhere currently, for trusted information.

When he gets frustrated with the reactions he creates, he wants to unsubscribe from the forum.
When my posts and threads get deleted by you I no longer want to participate.
Didn't you get sued some time back for not allowing members to remove their profiles?
When you tell me to just go away I would be happy to but i want to remove my profile when I go.

For reasons that will become apparent, I'm not able to be objective in my thoughts.

But, in the interests in moving the conversation along, I would like to share some observations I've made over the past 5 years:

1. Trade Associations, as they once were in the late 20th century, are all but dead.

2. Regional distributors who sponsored training classes, often monthly, have mostly retired or sold to large organizations that no longer have a deep commitment to regular local training opportunities for cleaners

3. Young cleaners don't respond well to classroom training, so the above changes were occuring anyway. They search for answers on line through Google, You Tube, AI, or Social Media forums

4. The above mentioned sources are often populated with erroneous or incomplete information sources.

5. Cleaner networking sites are not always well policed, and those asking questions or even being supportive an answering questions can be subject to abuse and ridicule.

6. The IICRC, which at one time had a measure of credibility has lost much of it for a variety of reasons.

For all of the above reasons, there needs to be a way of accessing information that has been vetted, follows generally accepted practices in both cleaning efficiency and safety to the textile, the customer, and the operator.

Life time membership?
Imagine a board owner putting you on an ignore list because you hurt his feelings.

He wants to keep my past around for profit like a real religious person would.
He is as fake as they come.
Larry was right about Mike. I remember now what he said.

This got me ignored. He thinks im butt hurt because i blocked a couple idiots instead of continuing to piss them off with my replies after he said he didnt want all the arguing.
Im really not sure what comments he thinks i was offended by.
Its just more of his warped perceptions. Its never him. His ego is too big to let that happen.

I haven't tried in a while but it would be nice to be able to upload a video straight to Mikey's Board without having to put it on YouTube first.

See if you can get when your Canadian suppliers to buy $100,000 a month banner ad and I'll make that happen...

"That's a great suggestion. Our new board will embrace the latest in technology for our subscriber's convenience when needed cash flow allows. Until then, should we meet (and we are hopeful) exceed your expectations, spread the word to those suppliers who you support, and invite them to be a part of our community as well"

Pemberton translating for Mikey P. (I'm not as good as AI when it comes to diplomacy, but I'm close!)

What general method are you going to use to improve the "reliability of content" in your eyes? Admin approval on all posts? A ranking score for people providing information? AI filtering out content, or promoting content? Something else?

Do you really make that kind of money selling banners? I know you're being sarcastic, but advertising these days is crazy high

agree on all points. Just as a sidenote there was a Facebook question posted. guy had a HDM TM that had problems with their chem pump so he asked what the chem dilution would be if he put the chems in his water supply tank. (you know, rather than asking how to fix it) I replied that this would be a bad idea and explained why. Then others were saying I was wrong and what to put in the tanks. you cant fix stupid.

Why would that feature be necesary?

When you participate on a forum, the content you provide is voluntary

You certainly have every right to go home… you Just cant take your ball with you 😀
Every forum besides this one has the option.

Mikey was sued over it and lost years ago.

I think it was JB but not sure now.

I would have chose this option by now if it were available.

Since one of the reboots you can't even log out now.

I dont want to take the ball. Just my jersey.

Sounds kind of cultist.

You can check out anytime you like but you can never leave?

This is exactly the sort of thing that needs a level of serious moderators and experienced participants to prevent.

I spend too much time sending direct messages to questioners who are getting bad advice, which helps the individual, but it leaves to bad advice floating out there where it can harm others

I imagine it can't be good for the pump.

Hard water is probably amost as bad.

Not sure what else is it would damage though.

I did it with my bane and the stator would get damaged.
