Why does a red stain from something like Gatorade, transfer onto a wet cloth as yellow when you do a heat transfer instead of red?
Maybe one of you stable geniuses explain it.

Your red dye remover dejour makes the red transparent, or in some cases translucent yellow.

Reducers, oxidizers, rust removers do not remove the stain, they modify it on the molecular level so that the stain becomes invisible. A good demonstration to show this is to add a reducer to iodine. It will immediately go clear, add enough oxidizer to the clear solution and over time the original color of the iodine will reappear. The yellow you see is likely the chemical reaction of cotton to a heated reducing agent.
